Leap Year!!

Today's the 29th of February, which means that we have one extra day. 24 extra hours...to do it all! Have fun, experience love or make a difference! Today is the day! Well, realistically speaking today is probably just another day...

Pink filled days

Today for some reason I found myself thinking back to days when all that mattered was ballet and whether or not I did my homework. I remember how I absolutely couldn't wait for the day that I got to dance in pointe shoes, 'cause only the "big girls" could. Those where the simple days when you had no idea of the impact that your decisions would have on your sometimes near and sometimes distant future. Well, also maybe 'cause your mom made all the tough decisions for you:) Today I found myself longing for those day!

Time to breathe...

The past couple of weeks have been super busy and I haven't really had a moment to post an entry, let alone breathe. The moment I finally got a chance to sit down and enjoy the stillness I remembered how much I enjoyed going through these two blog and how I felt they captured stillness amongst the commotion.

Last year I fell in love with Rog Walker's photography for the simple fact that it felt as though I was getting a sneak peak into what he loved. Coupled with this was the simplicity with which he conveyed his message. I am a huge fan of photography that looks effortless and he sure does achieve this.

At the beginning of this year I discovered I see a different you and fell in love!! I was happy to see that most of their photographs are taken in Soweto, which offers a great contrast and has resulted in beautiful photographs. Local is truly lekker!!

Most of all I love how they both manage to capture beautiful fashion set in everyday life.

Today I woke up hoping for a little sunshine and remembered this one song that puts a smile on my face no matter what. Time to decorate!

In a couple of days I will be headed back to Cape Town, which means that I will be moving into a new place. I am super excited because this means that I get to start afresh...well sort of. I have all of my stuff from last year but I feel like embarking on a little bit of an interior decorating journey. This got me trawling the internet for ideas and all I ended up doing was daydreaming of the future and the beautiful place I wish to own one day. What struck me was the different kinds of places I liked.*sigh* Anyway, here are a few pics of the places I fell in love with.

It's been super hot lately and all I can think about is ice-cream. New Beginnings

Hi all,

I found that although blogging has existed for sometime; I have only taken an interest in it this year. It was with this newfound interest that I began exploring the idea of starting a blog. I still do not know what I want to discuss or what I would like my focus to be. One thing I do know is that tomorrow will begin the next chapter of my life, as I will be graduating. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I guess that is always how I feel when there is something new on the horizon. I know that I will not feel 100% different tomorrow but I know that, as one of my friends put it, I will feel like this was all worth it. It was with this in mind that I decided to launch this blog today, on the eve of my graduation and with the air of newness, excitement and continuously growing possibilities. To add to this my favourite day of the month is the thirteenth and so what better day.

I hope that all that read this wake up feeling excited about something, it does not have to be big, it just has to be important to you:)
